President

Thomas Larsen

Thomas (he/him) is a Sophmore from Tewksbury, NJ, and is a Political Science major. Outside of Dems, Thomas is a member of CAS Student Government, the fleet master for BU Outing Club, and a KLAB representative. He enjoys listening to music and exploring the city of Boston. Thomas first got involved in politics with his home branch of Young Democrats. He has worked on political campaigns at both the state and federal levels. Thomas is passionate about climate and healthcare policy. This past year he was an intern for State Senator Andrew Zwicker. Thomas is excited to be on the Dem’s e-board this year and hopes for a great year of action and conversation.

Vice-President

Sydney Aslan

Sydney (she/her) is a sophomore from Nashville, TN and is a political science major with minors in public relations and environmental analysis and policy. Outside of Dems, Sydney is a member of CAS Student Government in the Advocacy branch, a trip leader for the BU Outing Club, and a CAS Dean's Host. Sydney took a gap year before college where she first got involved in politics through working on local judicial campaigns in her hometown. She later interned for the Davidson County Democratic Party in Nashville and has worked as a political fundraiser and campaign manager for Triumph Strategies, a Tennessee-based political consulting firm. Sydney is thrilled to be a part of the Dems Eboard this year and is excited for a year of action in Boston!

Treasurer

Gretchen Fuller

Gretchen Fuller is a junior studying Film and Television and Political Science. She is originally from Saint Paul, Minnesota. Outside of BU Dems, she interns with the Public Interest Network. In her free time, she likes going to see movies and watch hockey. 

Secretary

Nina Gulbransen

Nina (she/her) is a senior from Boca Raton, FL in the political science BA/MA program, where she is conducting research on post-2020 voter suppression in the South beyond racial and political gerrymandering. In addition to entering her second year as Secretary for Dems, Nina is a captain on the BU Women’s Tennis team, the Deputy Director of Social Advocacy for CAS StuGov, represents BU Women’s Tennis in various other athletic organizations, and she enjoys hiking with her husband Carlos in her free time. Nina has been involved in political activism for eight years, and aims to work in public policy after graduation. This past summer Nina interned in D.C. for Congressman Seth Moulton (D-MA-06) and wrote for the Boston Political Review, after concluding a year-long internship with the City of Boston Mayor’s Commission for Persons with Disabilities in conjunction with the Boston Parks and Recreation Department.

Social Media Director

Alice Scollins

Alice (she/her) is a Senior from Boston, Ma and is studying Political Science with a minor in Environmental Analysis and Policy. Outside of dems, Alice works as an intern at MA State Representative Rob Consalvo's office and conducts research through BU's Campus Climate Lab. In her free time, she enjoys reading, thrifting and taking walks around Boston. Alice is so excited to serve as social media director this upcoming school year!

Communications Liason

Emily Rotondi

Emily (she/her) is a sophomore hailing from Pittsburgh Pa and is studying Political Science with a minor in Spanish and journalism.  Outside of the Dems, Emily is a writer for the Boston Political Review, and is a member of the BU community service sorority, Omega Phi Alpha.  This upcoming semester she is also going to begin conducting research at the Center on Forced Displacement. In her free time Emily loves exploring new parts of Boston, watching the Office, and hanging out with her friends.  She first got involved in politics after working with a Pittsburgh environmental organization, focused on green infrastructure policy.  This past year Emily interned for Boston Climate Action Network, as their communications intern.  Emily is very excited to serve as the Dems communication liaison this upcoming year!
